Contemporary Hispanic Market

For the past 32 years, the Contemporary Hispanic Market has hand selected artists to participate in the juried art show that is held each July in the cultural heart of Santa Fe. Traditional carvings of wood or stones may be found among the booths, yet patrons can also discover individual expression in the mediums of painting, printmaking, sculpture, photography, furniture, jewelry, ceramics, weaving and more.
The Contemporary Hispanic Market will take place July 27-28, 2019, adjacent to the Traditional Spanish Market which is also traditionally held on this weekend. Located on Lincoln Avenue near the historic Santa Fe Plaza, the side-by-side market locations makes it easy for visitors to take in hundreds of booths of art ranging from cutting edge contemporary techniques to centuries old traditional styles.

The Chicano Humanities & Arts Council (CHAC Gallery and Cultural Center) was founded in 1978 by a group of visual and performing artists. The organization was established as a place where Chicano/Latino artists were provided with a venue to explore visual and performance art and promote and preserve the Chicano/Latino culture through the expression of the arts. CHAC’s new location: 222 Santa Fe Drive.
